When Camera Assist held back from reframing a camera, nothing told you why. An operator who took a camera by hand with the joystick couldn't see when automation would take over again without waiting for the camera to move. Variables also went by four names across the platform: visual, station, global and output variables.
The camera editor now shows what Camera Assist is doing in its footer, framing, watching or paused, with the reason and a countdown. While you control a camera by hand, the control pane shows what took control and when automation returns, and Back to automation hands the camera back straight away. Variables are now one feature, where each variable has a Station or Visual scope.
