Scheduling
A calendar of shows, one grid per station. It plays nothing itself. Everything else reads it, so your graphics, your playout and your clips act on the same show instead of guessing.
A radio programme schedule the whole platform reads
Plan
Enter a show once.
Shows sit on a week, month or day calendar, one per station, and you drag and resize them like any calendar you have used. A weekly show is entered once and repeats as far ahead as you want to plan.
Repeats keep the station's own time zone, so a 09:00 show is still at 09:00 the week the clocks change.
Connect
Everything knows which show is on.
A graphic can name the show on air and the five after it, and updates itself when the grid moves on. Playout opens the episode of the show that is on, and a recording in Clips carries the name of the show it came from.
Link a presenter to their microphone for a show, and a graphic can put up their name and photo the moment that mic opens. Presenters are shared by every station in your group.
How graphics read itOverride
Christmas week, without a rebuild.
An override is a dated window that replaces the normal grid for a while, like a holiday week or a festival. Start it from the regular week in one click, change what you like, and the permanent schedule stays as it was.
Next year, duplicate it forward. Two overrides can never overlap: VRA refuses the second one.
Technical specifications.
- What it holds
- Shows with a title, description, images, media and presenters. No tracks, rotations, format clocks or ad breaks: the music stays in your radio automation.
- Recurrence
- Standard RRULE repeats stored with their own time zone, falling back to the station's. No limit on how far ahead you plan.
- Data for graphics
- On air Next Next 2 Next 3 Next 4 Next 5Each position carries the show's title, images and presenters, plus the variables you add to shows and presenters.
- Presenters
- Shared across every station of a broadcaster, and linkable to a microphone trigger per show.
- Overrides
- Dated windows over one station's grid, seeded from it in one click and duplicated to the next year. Overlapping windows are refused.
- Programme data
- A broadcaster's own programme API syncs nightly at 02:15, for three supported API types, with credentials encrypted at rest. Any other station can import the programme guide from its own website once, in beta, and checks every show before it is added.
- History
- One-off shows are archived a month after they air, recurring shows are kept. Deleted shows can be restored for three months.
