Visual Fonts and Clips enhancements

4.6.44

We refined how custom typography works in the Visual Designer. When you picked a Google Font for your visuals, only a single weight came through, so any heading or label set to bold, light, or anything other than that one weight quietly fell back to the wrong style. Designing a clean lower-third or title card meant fighting the font instead of using it.

This release fixes that at the source: selecting a Google Font now pulls in every weight and style that font offers, so your visuals render exactly as designed. Alongside it, we tidied up the studio server overview, hardened the Playout rundown, and smoothed over a few rough edges across the app.

New

  • Clips: Added a zoom-to-selection action so you can instantly frame the part of the timeline you're working on.

Improvements

  • Studio: The server instances overview now shows which clients were recently active, giving you clearer insight into what's running.

  • Studio: Refined the server instances list and header for a cleaner, more consistent layout.

  • Studio: The server dropdown now docks neatly next to its label on mobile, with a more compact view toggle and check-for-updates tucked into the dropdown.

Fixes

  • Visual Designer: Google Fonts now load in every available weight and style, so visuals render exactly as designed instead of falling back to a single weight.

  • Visual Designer: Custom font uploads are now reliable, with the station's font storage prepared automatically during upload.

  • Studio: The app now recovers on its own after an update instead of showing a blank screen.

  • Playout: Fixed rundown items being dropped when saving an episode.

  • Playout: Rapidly clicking Create Episode Rundown no longer risks creating duplicate rundowns.

  • Clips: Fixed large clip exports failing to complete.

  • Output Variables: External data source lists no longer error out when a station is missing.
