Digigram ALP-AES67 audio-triggered camera switching
Use your Digigram ALP-AES67 audio inputs to switch radio studio cameras when someone speaks. VRA Audio Manager monitors each microphone through a compatible audio driver, while your console keeps mixing the programme.
How Digigram ALP-AES67 and VRA work together.
The channel layout is recognised
VRA recognises WDM channel pairs whose device name starts with DIGIGRAM ALP-AES67. The detected pairs can be converted into microphone triggers together.
One trigger per channel
VRA can build a bank of triggers from the detected layout, already tied to the correct device and channel. You name the microphones and assign the actions.
Meters show the real input
Check each microphone's input level and peak hold, then calibrate its trigger for the room. This helps you set when speech should cause a camera change.
Switch cameras from microphone activity
When a microphone passes its configured threshold, it can select a camera, recall a PTZ angle or run a macro. The programme audio stays on the console and is never mixed by VRA.
How to set it up.
Requirements
- The VRA Audio Manager app on a machine that can open the Digigram ALP-AES67 audio device.
- the Digigram ALP-AES67 Windows driver installed and working in the operating system.
- The console or audio network already routed to the receive channels. VRA listens to those channels; it does not create or change the audio routes.
Install and configure the Digigram ALP-AES67 Windows driver on the Audio Manager machine, then route the studio microphone channels into it.
Start the VRA Audio Manager app and confirm that the channels appear in the studio's audio device list.
Open Audio Triggers in VRA Cloud. Use the detected Digigram ALP-AES67 layout to create one trigger per channel, then name each trigger for its microphone.
Open the Audio Matrix, check which trigger listens to which channel, run the calibration pass and test every microphone before using automatic switching on air.

Does VRA route or mix Digigram ALP-AES67 audio? +
No. Your console and audio network keep doing the routing and mixing. VRA only listens to the operating-system input channels so it can detect which microphone is active.
How does VRA find Digigram ALP-AES67? +

What happens after the channels appear? +
Create or bulk-create an Audio Trigger for each microphone, check the channel mapping in the Audio Matrix, calibrate the gate and assign the camera or macro that should fire.
Can I still configure the channels by hand? +
Yes. Device recognition is a shortcut, not a requirement. You can select a compatible input device and map its channels manually. Test that Audio Manager can open the driver and receive each microphone.

About Digigram ALP-AES67.
Digigram ALP-AES67 is a PCIe sound card for AES67 and RAVENNA audio networks. Its Windows driver exposes the card's receive channels to Audio Manager.
Visual Radio Assist does not mix or route this audio. Audio Manager listens to the channels that Digigram ALP-AES67 exposes to the operating system and turns their activity into camera, macro and playout commands.
