NDI graphics output for visual radio
Send VRA graphics to your video production over NDI. The Render Engine runs on a studio machine and supplies the picture to an NDI receiver such as vMix or OBS with an NDI input plugin.

Receive station logos, now-playing overlays and programme graphics from one VRA output.
Render in the studio
The studio machine produces the signal. The browser is where your team designs and operates the graphics.
Keep switching separate
NDI carries the picture. The ATEM, vMix or OBS control connection tells your switcher when to select a source.
How to set it up.
Requirements
- VRA Output Player with NDI Runtime 6.
- An NDI receiver and network capacity for the selected video output.
- A compatible NDI input plugin for OBS; check that plugin's own OBS and runtime requirements.
Install Output Player and the required NDI Runtime on the studio machine.
Enable NDI in the VRA output settings and choose its automatic or custom source name.
Select that source in the receiving production application. OBS needs a compatible NDI input plugin.
Check the picture and video format at the receiver before taking it on air.
NDI questions
Does NDI output replace my streaming encoder? +
No. It provides a production signal to your receiver. Your existing mixer and encoder handle the final programme and streaming destinations.
Does OBS receive NDI without a plugin? +
OBS needs an NDI input plugin, such as DistroAV. Check the plugin version against its OBS and NDI Runtime requirements. That plugin is separate from the websocket connection used for scene control.

About NDI.
NDI carries video between production applications and devices. VRA uses it as an output from the Render Engine, installed as Output Player.
Visual Designer defines the graphics and Playout controls what appears. The local renderer sends the finished picture to your production system, which handles the final mix and streaming.
