OMT graphics output in VRA beta

OMT is a beta output option for the VRA Render Engine. On stations where it is enabled, you can name and enable an Open Media Transport output. Check receiver compatibility with us before planning an on-air setup.

How Open Media Transport (OMT) and VRA work together.

Name the output

Use an automatically generated name or set a name your receiving system can identify.

Keep rendering local

OMT is an Output Player transport; graphics are rendered on the studio machine.

Check availability before planning

Confirm station access and receiver compatibility with VRA while this output is in beta.

How to set it up.

Requirements

  • OMT enabled for your station.
  • A compatible Output Player and OMT receiver.
  • A tested network path and video format for the intended output.
  1. Ask us to check OMT availability for your station and installed Output Player.

  2. Open the player settings and enable OMT when the option is available.

  3. Use automatic naming or provide an output name.

  4. Test the signal with your intended receiver before using it in a production workflow.

Open Media Transport (OMT) questions

Why can I not see OMT in the output settings? +

OMT is enabled per station. Ask us to check availability for your station and installed player.

Should I choose OMT instead of SDI or NDI? +

Discuss the receiver and studio requirements with us first. OMT is a beta option; SDI and NDI have documented production setup guides.
