Livewire LWRP GPIO integration
Use incoming GPIO changes from your Livewire system to run VRA actions. Map each input to a camera, graphics or macro command, with the connection running in your studio.
How Livewire Routing Protocol and VRA work together.
LWRP paths are discovered
VRA reads the paths exposed by the endpoint and makes them available when building the studio's input mappings.
GPIO changes run VRA actions
A mapped path changing state can call the same command used by a dashboard, microphone trigger or automation rule.
Authentication is optional
Leave the password empty for an open endpoint or store the configured LWRP password with the connection when the device requires it.
The connector only receives
VRA listens for mapped state changes. It does not use this connector to drive GPO states back into the Livewire system.
How to set it up.
Requirements
- A compatible Livewire LWRP endpoint reachable from VRA Core.
- TCP access to port
93, or the alternative port configured on the endpoint. - The LWRP password when authentication is enabled.
- Known source GPIO states for testing each mapping.
In VRA, open Settings, Studio, GPIO and add a Livewire LWRP connection.
Enter the Livewire endpoint host and port. The default LWRP port is
93.Add the password when the endpoint requires one, then save and connect.
Browse the discovered paths and map each required input to its VRA action. Invert the input where the active state is reversed.
Operate the source GPIO and check the VRA event before attaching it to an on-air action.
Livewire Routing Protocol questions
Which port does Livewire LWRP use in VRA? +
The default is TCP port 93. Enter the endpoint's actual port when the Livewire system uses another value.
Does every LWRP connection need a password? +
No. The password is optional and only needs to be entered when authentication is enabled on the endpoint.
Can VRA discover the available paths? +
Yes. After the connection opens, VRA reads the paths exposed by the endpoint so they can be selected for mapping.
Can VRA send a Livewire GPO? +
Not through this integration. The LWRP connection is used for inbound GPIO state and VRA action triggering.

About Livewire Routing Protocol.
Livewire Routing Protocol, or LWRP, is a TCP control protocol used in Livewire studio systems. VRA uses it to receive GPIO-related state from a compatible endpoint.
Core discovers the available paths and watches the mappings selected for the studio. Those inbound changes can run VRA commands. The connection does not provide outbound GPO control.
